Here in this clip, you meet the earliest version of our Juniper and a few of his friends, following along behind the older male elephants. Juniper’s Journey is the story of a young African Elephant. A tale for all ages, both written and illustrated by Dana Gillan, it is due to be published in 2025. It shares the intricacies of family, friendships, and the search for one’s truest self. Elephants are incredible and intelligent beings with rich family bonds, societies, and emotional ranges, so the anthropomorphization isn’t a huge stretch. We are not so different from one another, and it’s a powerful reminder that we are all one in nature- in our belongingness on this planet we call home.
